Ian Townson (1950-)

Ian Townson grew up in Lancaster, England. At a protest in Bradford, he met Australians living in the Brixton squats and followed them down to London. In this interview, Ian talks about the squats in Railton Road and Mayall Road, Brixton, and the organisations that occupied them, like the South London Gay Liberation group. Ian was also a member of the Brixton Faeries and describes some of the plays that this theatre group wrote and performed.
