YOU’RE INVITED: Join us AT THE INNER WEST PRIDE CENTRE

CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF SHARING AND RECORDING QUEER HISTORY

Pride History Group was formed in Sydney in 2004, and this year we are hosting a celebration reflecting on the importance of giving voice to LGBTIQA+ histories.

29 NOVEMBER 2024

To mark our 20 year anniversary, Pride History Group is hosting an evening focused on LGBTIQA+ history and its significance today and into the future. Please join us for celebratory drinks and a panel event with speakers reflecting on LGBTIQA+ history in Sydney and the global context.

All are welcome to attend - whether you are an historian, student, activist or just interested in learning more about LGBTIQA+ histories.

The panel will traverse the challenges and triumphs of preserving our community histories against the backdrop of historical and contemporary injustices, explore why LGBTIQA+ history matters now and for future generations, and reflect on the representation of diverse stories in the historical record and national story.
