2023 Oral History Workshop

In early November we held a Queer Oral History Workshop with Pride History Group members traversing topics such as memory and remembering, whole-of-life interviewing techniques, ethics and trauma-informed approaches.

The half-day workshop was led by oral historians Dr Shirleene Robinson and Dr Scott McKinnon who provided participants with the knowledge and skills to conduct oral history interviews from start to end. Throughout the day the group had the the opportunity to exchange ideas in a supportive environment, and to learn about the best ethical conduct and technological requirements, as well as all the joys of queer oral history.
