Richard Riley

(1953-)

Richard Riley grew up in western Sydney and was involved in activism from an early age. He grew into his homosexuality during his time at UNSW where he met and mixed with other gay students and activists. Richard has lived and worked in Adelaide, Sydney and Newcastle, and in this inteview he talks about his activism during the 1970s, his involvement with the National Homosexual Conferences, and his work in the hospital system as a social worker, especially with respect to his activism around HIV/AIDS.
