Alex Garfield (1946-)

Alex Garfield grew up in the UK and migrated to Australia in 1967. He worked in retail in Sydney's department stores and soon became involved in Sydney's gay scene. In this interview, Alex recalls many of Sydney's social venues and groups including the Chelsea Players, Chameleons, Boomerangs and Pollys among others. He also remembers his time working on Mardi Gras floats and the parade.
